Monday was our fifth anniversary. We began the celebration early by going to see Alice and Wonderland on Saturday afternoon. After the show, we stopped to take some quick photos in a photo booth in Downtown Crossing. Here are the photos, next to the ones we took the day before our wedding. Not much has changed, I guess. Other than how much tanner we were and how much whiter our teeth used to be:
After the movie, we planned to go out to dinner but we were in the middle of the weekend long monsoon so wussed out and stayed home. Instead we got take out and had The Neighbors up to watch the first few episodes of Freaks and Geeks (LOVED IT).
On our actual anniversary, The Ides of March, Logan decided to work from home to avoid going out in the torrential downpour so we were able to spend the day together. That evening, we had a nice dinner with Laughing Cow cheese and Pellegrino, pretty much what we lived on when we were on our honeymoon.
But switch out the toddler eating pasta with chopsticks for two Europeans in speedos and the crazy rain for beautiful sunshine, and we could have been right back in Aruba. Logan got me an antique citrine (my birthstone) ring. I love it. The whole day was perfect.
We've had five wonderful years. Here's to many more.
